Import from CV files
Drop in PDF or DOCX resumes and Shortlistr extracts structured candidate fields.
Import from CV files
Use this when you have CVs on disk — typically forwarded by a sourcer or downloaded from an ATS.
How
- Open the role, click Import, and pick the CV upload tab.
- Drag in up to 25 PDF or DOCX files at a time.
- Each file is parsed and turned into a candidate. You'll see a progress row per file.
What gets extracted
Name, contact details, current title and company, work history, education, skills, and any links found in the document (LinkedIn, portfolio, GitHub).
Tips
- Scanned PDFs without an embedded text layer can't be parsed. Run them through OCR first.
- If the extracted data is wrong or sparse, open the candidate and click Re-parse after uploading a better copy.
- Files are stored against the candidate so reviewers and you can re-download them later.
